Kasilof River Drift Boat

A float down the world-class glacially fed Kasilof river is an Alaskan memorable adventure worth indulging in. The headwaters of the Tustumena Lake roughly sits 18 miles from from the Cook Inlet. The upper Kasilof river is reserved for our Sockeye Drift Boat trips. In addition, the Kasilof River Bridge down 9 miles to the Kasilof Cabins is our King Salmon Fishery. 

Differing from the Kenai river, the Kasilof river is only open to non-motorized boats. Not only, providing the tranquility and peacefulness you should expect from Alaska, but also at times providing a higher possibility of hooking a King Salmon.

The Alaska Early King Salmon fishing season on the Kasilof river gets underway May 16th, until the end of June. The Kasilof river second run of King Salmon begins early July, also like the Kenai river the Kasilof river King Salmon season ends, July 31st.
